Coming to Bloodmoon Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2, you will participate in a scary event called Blood Moon. During Blood Moon, the moon is red as blood and appears in the sky at night. It also has a mist to add the weirdness to a bloody moon night, and the fog is black for a better effect. There is only a 5% (configurable) chance that a blood moon will appear per night. Monsters will appear in greater danger during blood moon nights with increased HP, damage, and speed. Simultaneously, they also occur more frequently and have a much higher than standard fertility limit.
Note that all of the above applies only to monsters spawned on the ground but not in a cave. You also can’t sleep on a bloody moon night (configurable); instead, you have to fight for survival. Besides, you can enable the configuration file option to limit the monster’s lifespan to dawn.
These features are essentially ported from a feature found in the game Terraria into Minecraft but not complete. Therefore, Mojang players can also experience it.
However, copying is not full. There is a big difference between these two games: As the blood moon rises, the zombies can break the door to enter the player’s house to take out all the NPCs they find. In Minecraft, the only way zombies can damage the door is to switch the game to Hardcore difficulty mode. That is also a general requirement, even if you have installed Bloodmoon Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2. Even so, it’s a great addition to Minecraft mods 1.12.2 /1.11.2.
How to install Bloodmoon Mod:
